About Us

Newcastle Lake Macquarie Clay Target Club is located on the western side of picturesque Lake Macquarie just half an hour’s drive south of Newcastle CBD, and 1 hour 40 mins north of Sydney CBD. ‎
 

We are open on Wednesday and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month for practice. Click here to see our Program & Events Calendar.

 

Clay target shooting is truly a family sport where everyone can participate, meet new friends and have fun together.

​

No matter whether you are male or female, young or old, you will find clay target shooting to be a wonderful sport quite different to what you may expect. 

​

NLMCTC is one of the best equipped clubs in Australia. The facilities allow us to conduct competitions in both International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) and Australian Clay Target Association (ACTA) disciplines. 

​

These disciplines include; Down the Line (also know as Trap), Skeet, Trench, Sporting Clays and ISSF Olympic disciplines.

 

Competitions are run in graded sections AA-A-B-C which provides a stable competition experience for our shooters. We also have sections for Ladies, Veterans and Juniors.

4 x Universal Trench Layouts

5 x Down the Line (DTL) layouts

3 x Skeet/ISSF Skeet layouts

2 x 5 Stand layouts

1 x 50T Field & Game layout

 

In addition to the wonderful layouts NLMCTC also boasts a large club house, canteen facilities, bar facilities, a covered and fenced children's playground, an AED, powered and non powered camping grounds with full amenities. ​
